Auchindrain Historic Township has been officially recognised as a 2022 Gold Standard Internship Host by the University of Oxford. 

 
Every summer, Auchindrain welcomes a few talented young people from the University, to give them the opportunity to gain real world experience. In return, we benefit from fresh perspectives and the ability to move forward projects that require additional resources.  

According to the University’s criteria, hosts are judged on their “Commitment to the Internship Office programmes, overall quality of feedback from interns, consistency of internship provision, level of responsiveness to communication from students and the Internship Office, and responsiveness to constructive feedback”. 

Auchindrain’s participation in the Oxford University Summer Internships Programme had to be paused for two years due to Covid, but for the summer of 2022 three students were selected to spend the summer university vacation learning about museum management, and Scottish culture and heritage. We look forward to continuing enabling young talent and sharing our passion for preserving and developing Auchindrain.
